not going to be caused by you unless you mess with the cable wires frequently. ;)If there is a splitter between the TV and the wall, I would try bypassing that for a little while to see if it improves at all. If it does, replacing the splitter would be about a $3 fix. If no improvement let me know and I verizon dvr error can get the tech scheduled for you. shane: were hooked to the wall, no splitter. its back on ... it now spells out the word error 7 and doesnt give theph #, but still no on demand. and the dvr icon isnt their either. so i guess get a tech scheduled if you dont mind. its weird how when they sent the signal it wiped out the dvr control.... and i havent messed with thecables since we redid the place a couple years ago !! ha ... or if you have any other ideas for me to try pleaselet me know. they other non dvr tv that they reset is working fine. MediacomTom: You can undo the cable cords and reconnect them, but the signals being sent by us cannot undo the DVR service. It will only refresh the box and due to the likely existing signal issue it is unable to pull the info to activate the DVR service again on the box.I will PM you on the appointment. Don't assume that even though the fittings are screwed on tight that there is nothing wrong with the connection. The coax cable can work itself loose from the fitting. If Error 7 is displayed on all STB's then the degraded signal is more than likely coming into the home and will require a technician.Try this: turn the STB off, then unplug the power cord. Unhook the coax cable from the back of the STB as well as the wall jack, then inspect the coax & make sure there are no kinks or damage. Verify that the fitting is not loose on the cable, then check
