If there isn't one such function then thats is your problem. Your program must have a entry point fuction in other words the function from which your program starts. There might be a possibilty you might have misstyped the fuction name incorrectly. I wrote a small program just to try to get use to the use to theusage of the compiler, linker, etc. Can anyone help on a couple http://comp.lang.cobol.narkive.com/nmnQfWw9/fujitsu-student-cobol-compiler-link-error-please-help ofissues encountered? On the compile, I got this message:STATISTICS: HIGHEST SEVERITY CODE=I, PROGRAM UNIT=1However, that's it, no indication of what the "I" message was, or whatline it was on. This was not a big deal to me as it did appear tocreate an .obj module. When I went to link it though, I got this message:LINK : fatal error LNK1561: entry point entry point must be definedNMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\FSC\PCOBOL32\LINK' : return code '0x68'Stop.Linking files failed. Please close this window.I can compile, link and execute this program on another complier, itreally doesn't do anything other than display a message to the screen.I'm just trying to get a handle on how this compiler and link works. Can anyone offer any advice? You can do this in various ways: with a -M on thecompiler line or with a compiler directive in an @OPTIONS line at thestart of the source.
