Elfayer last edited by Hi, I have already succeeded in compiling in release mode my project qt the procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library since then. But now, for no reasons, it always build it in : "...build-desktop-Qt_4_8_1_for_Desktop_-_MSVC2010__Qt_SDK__Release\debug\test.exe" I just changed the project compilation mode in the left bottom corner of the window to release, and it compiles in the debug directory instead of the release one... When I try to run the application manually in the directory, even with the mingwm10.dll,

The old application came with libgcc_s_dw2_1.dll libusb-1.0.dll mingwm10.dll QtCore4.dll QtCored4.dll QtGui.dll Now, from QtCreator I am able to run my modified application, but problems occur when preparing deployment. I have used dependancy walker on my .exe and included a load of DLL's in my executables directory. icudt51.dll icuin51.dll icuuc51.dll IEShims.dll libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll libGLESv2.dll libstdc++-6.dll libusb-1.0.dll libwinpthread-1.dll mingwm10.dll Qt5Core.dll Qt5Cored.dll Qt5Gui.dll http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21426326/qt-deployment-the-procedure-entry-point-could-not-be-located Qt5Guid.dll Qt5Widgets.dll Qt5Widgetsd.dll QtCored4.dll (Yes, the project size is now extremely large due to the DLL's, but in my use case this is not an issue.) And finally it didn't complain about missing DLL's. The error message posted when trying to execute the .exe is: The procedure entry point ?testBit@QBitArray@@QBE_NH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library Qt5Core.dll I have never tried executing a Qt application outside Qt Creator, so I have really no idea what to do. If it helps: Under Projects-> qmake build config : Release -> Effective qmake call I have qmake.exe D:\Product\test_util.pro -r -spec win32-g++ If any more information is required to make anything more clear, please leave a comment about it. qt dll deployment share|improve this question asked Jan 29 '14 at 8:59 chwi 1,78812052 You include both debug and release versions of Qt dlls. However you can have only one of them, depending on your configuration. This will strip down your package size. –vahancho Jan 29 '14 at 9:04 @vahancho oh, so that's what the d suffix means. Thank you –chwi Jan 29 '14 at 9:06 Are you sure that the DLL version matches the binary being built? i.e. there are different dlls for Qt 5 and Qt 5.1. –this.lau_ Jan 29 '1

Here's a quick solution, that worked entry point for me: simply copy the dlls which can't be found into your bin. As you are compiling from the console, you can try "make copy_dlls", this will copy all dlls from msys64 into the bin, which is a bit of an overkill, but an easy way to check out, if that approach works. This was my thread: Can't run of_0.9.3 apps build with QT procedure entry point 5.5 on Windows 7! bugs, errors Hi, I've been using OF 0.8.4 with Code::Blocks on Windows and I had no problems at all. Now I wanted to switch to the newest OF release and I've hit a brick wall: I can't run OF apps (even emptyExample) after building them succesfully (at least I think so). I've installed msys2, using QT 5.5.1 with QT creator 3.6.0. The compiler is set to C:\msys64\mingw32\bin. It's worth noting that I can build and run plain c++ programs using QT creator and the same compiler settings. Please help me out, i… You can use a script which automatically copies the necessary dlls. This is what I did on QT by modifying ofApp.qbs in libs/openFrameworks/Compiled/projects/qtcreator. I'd be interested to hear if this approach worked for you! (What puzzles me is that your guiExample.exe can't be found either, so your problem might be different from mine, although we got the same error message regarding the dlls...) himijendrix 2016-03-18 18:17:42 UTC #3 That way it's working. But I'm wondering because the error is not "dll not found ...".It says "entry point not found
