Guy, we highly recommend that you visit our Guide for New Members. Solved: Outlook Express Won't Connect https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-outlook-express-wont-connect.743739/ Discussion in 'Web & Email' started by flcad2000, Aug 25, 2008. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement flcad2000 Thread Starter Joined: Feb 4, 2007 Messages: 20 Hi I'm running Win XP Pro SP 3 and using Outlook Express 6 for my email. The past 3 or 4 days, OE will open, and then it sits there trying to connect. After error 0x800ccc0f a while it gives the message - Your POP3 server has not responded in 60 seconds. Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond? - When you hit stop, it gives this error message - A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account: 'flcad', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 send receive error When you pick send/receive, it gives this error - A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to connect to the server. Account: 'flcad', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15 And it won't connect. However, if I pick a file in Windows Explorer, right click and pick send to mail recipient, the mail box pops up, I pick the address and hit send - it works and sends the email. Try opening OE after that, still won't connect. I can connect to the internet with no problem. Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced tab Click 'Reset' This explains what happens resetting IE7: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx This may not work for you but may be worth a shot. kniht, Aug 26, 2008 #2 flcad2000 Thread Starter Joined: Feb 4, 2007 Messages: 20 Nope, didn't work. If IE affects OE, then I may have left something out
