Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement flcad2000 Thread Starter Joined: Feb 4, 2007 Messages: 20 Hi I'm running Win XP Pro SP 3 and using Outlook Express 6 for my email. The past 3 or 4 days, OE will open, and then it sits there trying to connect. After a while it gives the message - Your POP3 server error 0x800ccc0f has not responded in 60 seconds. Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond? - When you hit stop, it gives this error message - A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account: 'flcad', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 When you pick send/receive, it gives this error - A TCP/IP error occurred while trying send receive error to connect to the server. Account: 'flcad', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15 And it won't connect. However, if I pick a file in Windows Explorer, right click and pick send to mail recipient, the mail box pops up, I pick the address and hit send - it works and sends the email. Try opening OE after that, still won't connect. I can connect to the internet with no problem. Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced tab Click 'Reset' This explains what happens resetting IE7: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx This may not work for you but may be worth a shot. kniht, Aug 26, 2008 #2 flcad2000 Thread Starter Joined: Feb 4, 2007 Messages: 20 Nope, didn't work. If IE affects OE, then I may have left something out - I was going to try to solve it later. Sometimes when I open up IE, it comes up without the menu bar, status bar, anything except the Title Bar.
