Today, while sending an email to a number of addresses, the thing sent one email and then just started bouncing all the others. The (non-)explanation given was 'Error 0x800CCC78. Cannot verify the email in your account properties. Server responded: 535 service is unavailable.' As you may appreciate, this is next to totally meaningless to me. I pasted the error message into a search line, and got told to alter my outgoing message settings. I have never done anything with them, so they haven't been altered - certainly not in the middle of sending emails. I had a look at the settings, and couldn't make any sense of them at all. So in ways I cannot grasp, I seem to have broken Outlook. Please advise! If you're unsure, simply go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings and look under "Type". Can you still receive email? #3 08-13-2015, 03:48 AM David Lee Windows 8 Office 2013 Novice Join Date: Aug 2015 Posts: 7 Quote: Originally Posted by HighFlyTechGuy Hi David, What kind of account are you using? Hello, weirdly, it seems to have fixed itself overnight - the emails I sent before that bounced have been sent again. Account type: POP3 Thank you! Although this problem, which appeared from nowhere, seemed to have fixed itself, it has not. The same thing keeps cropping up. It starts when I try ad send an email, and a dialogue box comes up asking me to enter my username and password for the following server I always do, and it rejects it, even tho I have never changed the password. This stupid thing is driving me mad. Please advise!
