I hope this helps everyone. The error is due to 64 bit Window http://steamcommunity.com/app/17390/discussions/0/864973123376073418/ 7 registry deleting the SPORE entries automatically after each installation and patching. HOW TO FIX SPORE for 64 bit Windows 7 1. Open C:\Windows\regedit as administrator You can do this by clicking Computer, Local Disc C:/. Then Type in the search bar regedit. Right click on the application and click run as administrator. 2. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432node\Electronic Arts\SPORE When I searched this in the edit/find it returned no results, so what you can do is click on each folder individually in the left hand panel. Go to HKEY_Local_Machine then the Software folder then the Wow6432node folder then the Electronics Arts folder and finally the Spore folder. Now you may have multiple Spore Folders, you want the folder that just says SPORE. NOT SPORE TM. 3. Add the following as string value if they are not there AppDir = SPORE DataDir = C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SPORE\Data\ InstallLoc = C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SPORE PlayerDir = My Spore Creations It is important to make sure and add these strings in the order that they are given. The most important thing though is to direct the folders to the right place; I am specifiacally talking about the DataDir and InstallLoc fol

You may have to disable them at startup. Also are you installing as a normal user or as admin ? Other than that I where have you installed Spore. Is it on the E drive and is that a hard disk ? Can you possibly install it on C: ? Can't see it making a difference but simply throwing ideas. This message was edited 1 time.
