Error 116-324 Xerox Phaser 6180
I had turned the printer off ahead of a storm rolling through the area. I had seen the error in the past and was able to resolve by turning it off then waiting a few seconds before turning it back on. Now it's coming up all the time. What does this error mean, how can I resolve it? Solved! Go to Solution. Please take a look at the case for the Fault code 116-324. Please also make sure that the machine is plugged into a dedicated outlet directly, no surge protector or extension cord to remove those as possible issues. If it still gives the fault code please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance. Thanks, CherylO-XeroxCommunity ManagerBe sure to click Kudos for those who have helped you. The printer started fine. We then went to each PC in the house and removed the Xerox drivers. Once removed we reconnected the printer to the network and it seems to be fine. Possibily a corrupt job or problem

Try using a PCL driver if you are using a PS one or try using an old version of your current driver if you have recently updated it. Alternatively, try printing text as graphics to completely overcome font issues. With Xerox you can control how the printer deals http://www.canonservicemanual.com/2014/04/22/xerox-6605-error-code-116-324/ with True Type Font download options in Printer Preferences. There are some Xerox machines that have a problem with the new Calibri font shipped with the new Word and they freeze when trying to print documents using this font and display the error code 116-324. Under Printer Preferences select Advanced and under the "TrueType Font Download Options" select "Download as Bitmap". That should solve the issue. There has recently been an occurrence of the error code 116-324 which was not solved by the above procedure and we are currently visiting site to upload the machine firmware. Please check back here to see whther the firmware upgrade resolved the issue. The previous Phaser 6500 only experienced the issue a few times in just over a year. Our error 116-324 xerox public computers and the printer are on a VLAN and we use Smart Shield for the computers to work off of a virtual image. When it occured yesterday, the staff shut down all the public computers and the printer. Upon restart a user was able to print and email without problem but a staff member received the Controller Error after submtting a Word document containing "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs back." The problem does not occuron any one computer but seems to be on all of them. Again, not a real issue until the replacement 6500 was installed.Staff reported this morning that yesterday afternoon the error occurred 7 times in30 minutes. We've already done the driver thing, removed the printer reinstalled the printer. I can ping the printer without problem. It seems to be getting worse. Do I have a defective printer? Solved!
