WDS is conigured but I cannot start the service, I am getting error 1297. I have tried Setting Log on as account http://serverfault.com/questions/476213/starting-wds-error-1297 to my Domain Administrator account/Another Super User account Set my Remote Install folder for Everyone access Checked IP and DNS were set up correct WDS has been configured I see from another thread I need to add assign the right through Domain Controller Security Policy? Look into this article on MS, if the server is not a DC, use Method 1 or Method 2. If the server is a domain controller, use Method 3 or Method 4. Reading Mode SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 on Windows 2008 R2 not responding to PXE Author Message amartensson Total Posts : 117 Scores: 0 Reward points : 16530 Joined: 7/25/2006 Status: offline SCCM 2007 SP2 R2 on Windows 2008 R2 not responding to PXE Tuesday, February 22, 2011 8:23 AM (permalink) 0 Restored our SCCM site to new hardware, and have some problems with PXE. The problem is that it doesn't seem to respond at all anymore. I've enabled unknown computers, checked that WDS is running, the PXE service point shows green in site system status. No firewall is running on the 2008R2 x64 server. I've added this value to my registry and rebooted the server: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975710/en-us At least 10 reinstallations of the wds service and the pxe service point until now. Is there anything else you need to do specifically for 2008R2 to make PXE work? I've also updated the DB point with my bootimages. New server has same IP and name as my old server, so the options set in our DHCP for bootserver are correct. I'm completely stumped, it just wont work. Here is a portion of my pxecontrol log: PXE test request succeeded.~ $$
