Error 1297 Iis Admin Service
Sign in to vote I have a lab configured with a single domain controller and one client error 1297 a privilege that the service requires cluster server. Both servers are Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and the functional level of the domain is Windows Server 2008 R2. After I promoted the domain controller, I

did not make any changes to the default domain policy GPO. My problem is this: I created a Managed Service Account and a regular user account and tried to use both of these accounts as logon accounts for the "Disk Defragmenter" service on my client server and domain controller. Each time it failed with the following error: In error 1297 windows audio service the system event log: I also tried moving the client server into a custom OU and blocked inheritance of all parent GPOs, but this did not work either...same error. I'm assuming the problem lies with the Default Domain group policy and Default Domain Controllers group policy, I'm just not sure which setting. I'm at a complete loss, so any help is greatly appreciated. jason UPDATE: after further testing, I am receiving the same errors even when the server is not joined to a domain. After a fresh install of Windows Server 2008 R2, I created a local user and used that account as the logon account for several services. When I started the services, I received the same error. is fairly well documented, but I wanted to put it here for my own purposes: When installing a new ADFS farm, you may find that if you reboot the https://doubledit.co.uk/2015/08/18/adfs-3-0-service-will-not-start-error-1297/ ADFS server, or restart the ADFS service, it will not restart and fails with a 1297 error code. In the Event Viewer you will see an error stating that; A privilege that the service requires https://www.simplycast.com/interactive-marketing-support/faqs/what-do-fax-error-messages-mean/ to function properly does not exist in the service account configuration This error screams of an issue with the configuration of the service account…and that's exactly what it is. On the affected ADFS server, error 1297 open the Local Security Policy console (secpol.msc) and expand the following container: Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment Go into the properties of the Generate Security Audits section and add the ADFS service account into here. If the option to add an account is grayed out, then that means that a Group Policy is controlling this access list, and you will need to find and modify the appropriate GP to add error 1297 a the ADFS service account into the group (usually the Default Domain Policy). While you are here, ensure that the ADFS service account has ‘Log on as a Service' privileges. Once this is done you should be able to start the ADFS service (although if you edited Group Policy then run gpudpdate first). Hopefully this helps you before you get to the point where you make the ADFS service account a Domain Admin! Remember, this account only needs Domain User privileges and should not be put into god mode! Share this:EmailTwitterFacebookLinkedInRedditTumblrLike this:Like Loading... We've compiled a list of current Error Codes that you may see during your Fax Campaigns, as well as a brief explanation for each to give you a better idea of what they mean.
