Error 1400: Alert - Wrong media Started by josht, Jul 08 2009 03:49 PM Please log in to reply 5 replies to this topic #1 josht josht Members 3 posts Posted 08 July 2009 - 03:49 PM first post here, so hello everyone.this issue has been driving me nuts...I've had no trouble with Yosemite befor this and everything's been working perfectly.I've got it set up with a Dell PV RD1000 External Drive. Now the tapes have never given me issues and when I insert any of them I can still access and explore/read the data on them...Yosemite however will not recognize them and backup my data.Any info https://community.hpe.com/t5/Tape-Backup-Small-and-Medium/Error-1400-Wrong-media/td-p/943264 on what's going on here?thanks in advance. Then it gives me the error 1400: Wrong Media Back to top #5 jacobc jacobc Barracuda Team Members 95 posts Posted 10 July 2009 - 06:59 PM An unscheduled job with default settings should be able to write to an erased tape*. That it doesn't suggests deeper communication problems with the drive. You should contact Barracudaware tech support for more assistance (unless you have a Dell 8.1 copy, in which case call Dell's Yosemite Backup support line).* Make sure you are erasing in the software (Wizards > Media > Erase). A quick erase is fine.
