Cause This issue may occur if there is an incorrect setting in one of the registry keys related to Shell Folders. Solution or Workaround Warning: The instructions below include making changes to essential parts of your operating system. It came already installed. I love/hate it and Bill Gates too, error 1606 could although that last bit isn't really important. Anyway, I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 and am having a devil of a time installing it. I followed the "UNIVERSAL VISTA HELP GUIDE FOR INSTALLS AND CONFIGURATION OF ACROBAT 8 " by Anthony Kraus, and while I did get farther with the installation, I am hung up with the following error: Error 1606 Could not access network location\Startup Well, neither could I.
