Cause This issue may occur error 1606 if there is an incorrect setting in one of the registry keys related to Shell Folders. Solution or Workaround Warning: The instructions below include making changes to essential parts of your operating system. It is recommended that you backup your operating system and files, including the registry, before proceeding. Consult with a qualified computer systems error 1606 windows professional, if necessary. Could not access network location '\plugins' I use Windows 7 Professional 32bit. I have searched for solutions for a couple of hours by now, but nothing worked. What i have done so far: - Checked my 'User Shell Folders' registry folders for incorrect values - nothing found. - Executed Microsoft FixIts #50154, #50356 and #50461 - Updated .NET Framework to newest version - Updated IE to newest version - Ran 'sfc /SCANNOW' - no Integrityproblems found None of those actions seem to help.
