the second one as you see here) I've managed to sort out all of the problems without doing an OS re-install. Any one know how to fix this MSIinstaller problem? Thanks as always. There are a few things one can do though, one is turn on debug info. See this MS page, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 and I recall it will create a LOG file in your TEMP folder under USERS\USERID\APPDATA (and one under that, don't recall which?). That log might provide a few hints. I too discovered I couldn't get access to a folder. However, as a LAST RESORT I decided to look in the MS Installer Clean-up Utility. Note that MS no longer supports this ( http://clubhouse.microsoft.com.....a95714baa7 ). Anyway, I bit the bullet and decided to REMOVE the program I was having a problem with. That fixed it, next attempt to install worked? Irv S. Reports: · Poste
