I've solved most of my computer problems but this last one persists... In my event viewer i ALWAYS get the same MsiInstaller Error in pairs of 3 in a row.. heres what they say 1) Product: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - Update 'Security Update for 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB2289158)' could not be installed. Error code 1603. 2) Product: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 -- Error 1606.Could not access network location %APPDATA%\. 3) Product: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 -- Error 1606.Could not access network location %APPDATA%\. (the third one in the row is always a duplicate of the second one as you see here) I've managed to sort out all of the problems without doing an OS re-install. Any one know how to fix this MSIinstaller problem? Thanks as always. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top ispalten Posts: 6259 This post has been reported. I recently got into a bunch of MS Installer errors myself. Not the same as you however. There are a few things one can do though, one is turn on debug info. See this MS page, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 and I recall it will create a LOG file in your TEMP folder under USERS\USERID\APPDATA (and one under that, don't recall which?). That log might provide a few hints. I too discovered I couldn't get access to a folder. However, as a LAST RESORT I decided to look in the MS Installer Clean-up Utility. Note that MS no longer supports this ( http://clubhouse.microsoft.com.....a95714baa7 ). Anyway, I bit the bullet and decided to REMOVE the program I was having a problem with. That fixed it, next attempt to install worked? Irv S. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top oceanhawk9 Posts: 232 This post has been reported. thanks alot for that ispalten. I'll check it out then give you the feed back Thanks again. Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top Topic Closed This topic has been closed to new replies.
