History: Toshiba Laptop L555D-S7930 - Windows 7 Home Premium. 3GB RAM. Wife has new laptop and we had Microsoft Office 2003 installed on it. Already had a trial version of Office 2007. When trial expired, she removed Office 2007. Tried error 1721 to open Office 2003 and got the 1721 error message. Momentarily fixed the issue by using the following: msiexec /unregister msiexec /regserver sfc /purcecache sfc /scannow (found no issues) Tried to remove Office 2003 and it says it can't remove it. Then, tried to load another program (logmein) and it said it couldn't install because Office 2003 was still in process (it was suspended). Now the 1721 error message comes up when she reboots and locks up the error 1721 windows screen - computer doesn't get into windows at all. (Safe mode still works OK though). HELP! Anyone seen anything like this?
