Subject: Re: [Office2007] Error Message When Updating Office 2010 Pro Plus Hi Jorge, I have a Windows Update shortcut on my desktop that I always use to get updates. Clicking on this shortcut takes me directly to the Windows Update tab dialogue & also starts the search for new updates. Once in Windows Update if you have new updates Jaws usually will say something like you have optional or important updates if there are any or, you can tab to the optional or important updates links & press the spacer / enter to open & view what updates are available. In optional updates, these are always unchecked so if you want to download & install them you need to check them individually. On the other hand, in important updates these are all checked so, if you don't want to install a particular update you need to uncheck it. Below is a link for downloading many individual shortcuts for Windows7 that you can put on your desktop or start menu. http://www.jaws-users.com/text/Shortcuts/Windows7/index.html Also, in the change settings link in the tab dialogue of windows updates I have set on: Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them. To insure you get all updates it might be wise to install the Microsoft for Other Products updater if it isn't already installed. I have found that if this isn't installed there are updates for MSSE that you won't get along with other optional updates. Below are steps for getting this installer that I posted to another list. Microsoft Other Products Updater, Steps For Windows7 Hi All, Go to Windows Updates & open the change settings link. Tab to the, Find Out More link, & press enter or spacebar to open. This is the agreement for the Microsoft Other Products & Services Updater installer, something you'll need to read through & check a couple of boxes to install this Microsoft Other Products updater. Once installed there 2 more options added to the change settings options. They are below. You can read more about the Microsoft Update services by clicki
