It is currently installed on Windows XP 32bit SP2 machines at the client. Connection to the DB error 429 activex is done via ODBC to SQL Server 2000 instance on another server. On Windows 7, the installation works fine, however when you try to open the application, the error is given. I have looked at the following: Registering all the dll's and ocx files using regsvr32. Some will not register as they either are registered already or the following message is given "Make sure that "[name].dll" is valid DLL or OCX file and then try again." I read this forum thread regarding this: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/vblanguage/thread/0653f685-4526-45d9-89f3-8c479a6b4c62 Monitored the opening of the application using a ProcessMonitor application to try and spot if there is a missing dll or ocx file - this does not seem to be the case. Reviewed the application according to this list and nothing seems to be against these guidelines I've noticed two items in the knowledge base that relate to this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281848 - the comdlg32.ocx bundled with the application is version 6.0.81.69 and the one in the system32 folder on the dev machine (WinXP 32 bit) is 6.1.97.82. However if this was the issue then surely it would not work currently?
that I am getting lost of erros, many seems to be related to missing references 1- I am getting an error when running the code: Run-time error 429: ActiveX component cant create object I read in the internet that this could be related to missing MathNet.dll file, but it dose not exist in my references when I browse the files in System32. any idea why this error is occurring and how to solve it? 2- I am even getting an error with this line Application.ScreenUpdating = False Compile error: Method or member not found Sponsored Links: Read full post... Error 429 when try to send email I have Windows 7 64-bit and Access 2003. When I try to execute the same code that works on a Windows 7 32-bit computer, I get Error 429: ActiveX component can't create object runtime error 429 activex component cannot create object..Compatibility issue? I have a db that is not split (I know, I know.) and working fine on several machines except on one. This db is being used mostly on machines with XP and Access 2003 although two machines have XP and Access 2010 and one had Windows 7 (64bit) and Access 2003. Everything was fine until.the machine with Windows 7 was upgraded to Access 2010. Since that was done, that machine gets the above mentioned error: "runtime error 429 activex component cannot create object" All other machines are still working fine Anyone know if there are any compatibility issues with Windows 7 64-bit with Access 2010? Anyone know what I should change on this user's machine ActiveX component cannot create object 429 Error Windows 7 I am getting a runtime error of 429.
