Error 50000 Lotro
DDO servers may be down for updates or encountering an issue preventing log in. Please check the LOTRO or DDO forums and/or the game launcher for any service updates. While on the forums, click on 'New Posts'. Other users may be receiving this message as well and have already reported it. If you are receiving this error message repeatedly though and the servers are up and allowing logins, and it persists after a system reboot, it may be the result of your firewall blocking access to the game log in servers. Many users have resolved this problem by configuring their firewalls to allow access to the game for the launcher, or by disabling the firewall entirely. NOTE: Users of the Shield Firewall software have reported that their firewall may block access to the LOTRO game servers even when disabled. These users have had this issue resolved by temporarily uninstalling the Shield Firewall software. If you are still receiving this error message, it can be caching of the connection. In that instance, try flushing your DNS. Start by power cycling your router and/or modem by unplugging them, wait 10 to 20 seconds, then plugging them back in Once those have reset themselves, click on the "Start" button and then click on "All Programs" and "Accessories" In the menu, find the "Command Prompt" icon, right-click it and choose Run as Administrator. If this option is not listed, simplyleft-click the command prompt icon instead. (Windows 8 users: Hold down the Windows key and press "X"and select "Command Prompt (Admin)" from the list.) On the Command Prompt window that pops up, type the command below exactly as it appears, hitting the enter key afterward: ipconfig /flushdns When that command finishes, there should be a message of "Successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache", at which point please reboot your computer and upon re-entering Windows, test again to see if the issue persists. If after typing in the ipconfig /flushdns command and hitting enter you do not see the success message, or if you received an error, ensure that you typed the command exactly as it appears above.
