to show up after switching Feed Source to Front Tray, and regardless whether print job is color or grayscale. The replacement cartridges are not from Canon, but did come off a brick-n-mortar retail shelf. The printer is pretty new. Was initially surprised to notice that both cartridges were leaking a bit when the seals were removed. Am wondering if some of the comments about using non OEM ink have some bearing on this problem. Well thats what Canon says,, then when you get there they say buy a new one..Any way forget them try this..1.) unplug machine (power cable from back of printer.2.) hold the power button down and plug cable back in.the printer light will stay on ,, 3.) still holding power,, press the paper feed button.. light will change to orange4.) press paper feed button again.. It will turn to green5.) release power button and enjoy..Depend on the the firmware skip step 4...That will bypass canons firmware and reset the counters.. Print as you will now..
