First, the "clear CMOS" button stays lit,
Asus Error 55
and my computer is oscillating on and off in power. Everything works fine when it's on for a few seconds, but it won't stay on. I've tried the usual troubleshooting, jumping the CMOS, holding down the power http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2165771/asrock-z77-extreme-error-code.html button for 30 seconds, etc. and other people seem to be figuring it out, but I can't get it to work. The second issue is that the error code 55 stays lit (I have the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 MOBO) as if there's no memory sticks in place. I have four of the same memory sticks in, pushed all the way in place. If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I've been working http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2487320/clear-cmos-error-code-asrock-z77-extreme.html on this for a ridiculous amount of time, most of it spent on forums trying to figure out what's wrong, and I don't know what else to do. My build is: -ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 -i5-3570 -G-Skill F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL -ASUS Xonar Essence STX -XFX TS550 80+ Bronze -Samsung SSD 840 EVO -Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO More about : clear cmos error code asrock z77 extreme Best solution alexoiu a c 1501 V Motherboard a c 124 δ ASRock 17 January 2015 07:53:38 Hi, Test with single RAM module each slot. After setting it all up, the debug on the board displays error #55. Which says "Memory not installed." When take out the ram slots it says error #53 which is error 55 "No physical ram detected." I've tried swapping the ram out, and I've learned the ram works. I read that it could be the motherboard or proccesor. I'm curious about which it is so I don't have to send 2 things back for RMA. If you have an answer, that'd be grearly appreciated! Thanks for your time! If you have an answer, that'd be grearly appreciated! Thanks for your time! You need to update the BIOS to 2.1+ The BIOS it comes with does not support Ivy Bridge. To update you can either call ASRock and they can send you a new chipset with the updated BIOS or you can use a Sandy Bridge CPU to update the BIOS then once it's updated switch back to your new Ivy Bridge. I'm in the same boat, currently waiting on a cheap Celeron Sandy
