but same model, brought them together) I have update the mobo bios through internet. There are four ram slots, and they are a1,a2,b1,b2. early memory initialization In manual its said that a1,b1 - dual channel and a2 - b2 dual channel. But the problem is when add the ram to these following slots i am getting 55 error(that is memory not install). But the https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158224.0 ram works only when i insert them in a1 and a2 slot. When try them in below configuration, i am getting 55 error 1. a1 , b1 2 b1, b2 3 a2,b2 4, b2,a1 5, a1,a2 6, a1,b2 I just want to know , whether my mobo is faulty. or everything is just fine. CheeseonAug 10, 2013, 7:01 AM I just finished building my http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1762852/debug-led-code-meaning.html PC last night too find that it wouldn't boot. The hard drives, cooler, PSU, Mobo http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=79732 lights, fans, GPUs (SLI), optical drive all work, but when ever I go to boot the computer, the monitor just displays "no signal". The debug LED on the Mobo displays "10" for about five seconds then switches to "55" and stays. I think 55 has something to do with memory but I'm not sure could someone confirm, error 55 deny, or specify this? Also does the 10 code matter and what does it mean ( it goes away ). Any answers are appreciated! Open the case and pull the pw connectors from ALL drives; both hd and optical. Disconnect any usb device except the keyboard. Clear cmos or as asus calls it RTC. Now pw ON and see if the board will complete post. You should see an error msg regarding os not found or no bootable disk, etc. Once you are sure the board completes post, then restart and see if you can enter the bios. Getting Code 55 continuously on the mobo. I know its related to memory or CPU IMC. Have changed 12 sticks of memory, 1 at a time in all the ports. Have tried 2 CPUs. Ofcourse have cleared CMOS, switched dual BIOS switch. Its supposedly new mobo which even booted once, was in Windows installing drivers etc when the computer hung and since then its giving this error message. BIOS was on its default settings so no overclocking has ever been done on this motherboard. Is it possible that the motherboard is dead? Or am I missing any troubleshooting step? __________________ thebanik View Public Profile Send a private message to thebanik Visit thebanik's homepage! Infact since I know over-tightening the CPU cooler can create issues, I even tried without really securing the heatsink and just placing it on top of the CPU, though with no luck. __________________ Last edited by thebanik; 07-05-2013 at 11:15. thebanik View Public Profile Send a private message to thebanik Visit thebanik's homepage!
