Back to top ↑ error 606 blocked Resolution Complete the following:Ensure the smartphone is running the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software (see KB16068). If the smartphone is already running the latest version of BlackBerry Device Software, perform a hard reset by removing the battery from the smartphone and reinserting it (see KB02141). If the issue persists, reload the BlackBerry Device Software (see KB10144). First troubleshooting step is a hard reset (remove the battery while the power is on, and wait 30 seconds before putting the battery back).If the error persists, upgrade the OS if possible. If you are already running the latest OS, reload the OS. Here is one site to explain this better and here is a list of providers where you should get you OS. One more site to help you out. Now the screen is blank white and says app error 606 When I select reset, it reboots but keeps coming back to the error 606 same screen. Looks like I have to re-install the OS but my laptop is not connecting to the device through the USB. Has anyone faced this problem and can you tell me how to fix the device? Searched and searched on this site plus Blackberry Support Forum, Blackberry Knowledge Base.......none of the suggested fixes worked. Called Orange Technical Services in the end and as the BBerry (that they supplied) is within the 12 mth warranty, they are doing a straight swap - as they said they can't fix it. Good luck if you also encounter this problem, this got the better of me.
