The cciss driver is the latest from HP and the firmware for all the devices are up to date. I can't write more than 70GB to tape before I get kernel errors:cciss: cp ffff810037fff308 http://www.unix.com/red-hat/167702-redhat-hp-tape.html has protocol error st0: Error 70000 (sugg. bt 0x0, driver bt 0x0, host bt 0x7).Then it craps out. It does this when using amanda or dd. The drive has been replaced, I've tried a HP SC44Ge before the P212 with the same error.Can anyone help? My apologies if I've posted this in the wrong forum.Thanks in advance. I actually downgraded the kernel to 2.6.18-194.el5 because the HP cciss driver wouldn't install with the newer kernel. The default cciss driver is 3.6.20-RH4 with this test.
