I was trying to delete a user account on xp and on the first few trys it said it could not do it because of error https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071219104753AAayVbC 80070402. though I did eventualy get it to delet the account after a long wait. I'd still like o know what may have caused the error though, does anyone have any ideal? What exactly this error is? The other way it just got hung up and did nothing. Any other suggestions? When I "X" out of the delete user I get an MSHTA.EXE window saying the program does not respond and to send error report. THis is what finally worked for me. I logged into the account I was trying to delete. Went to settings and removed administrer privileges. Set the account to limited. Next logged out of that account went to an administrator accont and removed the account with the error message. It deleted the problem account.
