As well as keeping with her dial-up connection. I've been on the phone with tech support for both Dell and Aol and I'm at my wit's end. I've deleted the driver for the modem and re-installed it. It's working properly. I've deleted as much of AOL as I could and re-installed it. Now I'm to a point where it says "broadband" under connection. http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-7/aol-error-ac-1000/3090.html I tried to change the connection setting and it keeps saying the connection is blocked. I get this error message: Error AC-1000; err 0x84200006 OS Win Xp-SP2; ACS 4.6.61.3 Dial Connection Aol's not giving me any answers neither is Dell (she's under a parts warranty but no service apparently). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. The AC 1000 error message may mean that the computer's modem is being blocked from connecting. Try checking your modem in the control panel through phone and modem options and query your modem. Let me know the results. dewberrycat, Aug 27, 2008 #5 Sponsor This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies.
