NoviceJoined: 01 Feb http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21233565 2006Posts: 16 I am getting this error when I am running CORBA name server as well as ICS on a different server (server A) and connecting to the ORB on Server A from a different server (server B). "Cannot connect to the CORBA name server; It may not be running or is running at a different port". I get this error though the CORBA http://mqseries.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=27016&sid=9274c93358b25f4abf24b9fa03fe0998 name server is running on that specific port on a different server. Any suggestions on why this could be happening? I am actually trying to start the server using a telnet client. And I get this message. Basically if the server starts I will be able to connect and that is not happening because of this error. I tried setting ORB_HOST to the actual ip address/server name/xternal IP address. I also tried configuring the ORB_OAHOST on the server where the PNS is running by setting it to the virtual IP address.
