Error Cannot Create Sata Raid
Cisco Bug: CSCse41973 - Can not create SATA RAID controller on MCS-7825I-CC1/IPC1 Last Modified Nov 02, 2012 Product Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) Known Affected Releases 5.0(3) Description (partial) Symptom: Fresh install fails on 7825I1 with error "Cannot create SATA Raid" Condition: When running a bare metal fresh install, i.e. when there is no pre-existing RAID configuration, on a 7825I1, the install will fail with error "Cannot create SATA Raid". This will ONLY happen when doing a bare metal fresh install, e.g. a customer with brand new out of the box 7825I1 trying to install with 5.0(3) from DVD. This does not happen if customer is doing L2 upgrade from older release, or if they are doing re-install (i.e. already had CCM installed, just doing a clean install), or if installing older releases of CCM [5.0(1) and 5.0(2)]. the full version with proper formatting. Pages: 1 2 Ball02-07-2016, 02:47 PM I tried SoftRAID on a MacBook with two hard drives (striped). It will "initialize" and create the SoftRAID partitions, but complains that it cannot create the volume. No errors are evident. This is using Yosemite and two identical 850 Pro Samsung drives. Unless someone can suggest a fix soon, I will go back to using AppleRAID. Here's the log: Feb 7 14:45:31 Balls-MBP SoftRAID Tool[693]
