First remove the repo with: rpm -e rpmfusion-free-release Then re-enable it using: rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/el/updates/6/i386/rpmfusion-free-release-6-1.noarch.rpm Are you still seeing the error? What's the output of: 'yum repolist enabled ' Reply Log In to Comment 0 atrumsalus June 11, 2014 That worked for me. The other site I looked at said do: rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/el/updates/6/i386/rpmfusion-free-release-6-1.noarch.rpm What is difference with the "i" an "U" 0 atrumsalus June 11, 2014 What is the non-free site? 0 asb MOD June 11, 2014 "i" is for "install" and "U" is for upgrade. Either should work in this case. The non-free repo contains software that is legally distributable, but not "Free Software" as in open source and freely modifiable. 0 oumitvar June 4, 2016 [root@cpanel ~]# rpm -e rpmfusion-free-release error: Failed dependencies: rpmfusion-free-release >= 21 is needed by (installed) rpmfusion-nonfree-release-21-1.noarch i am receiving this error Reply Log In to Comment Have another answer? At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" error cannot find this: 1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem. 2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the packages for the previous distribution release still work). 3. Disable the repository, so yum won't use it by default. Yum will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage: yum-config-manager --disable
