This is not a Python issue. Also, what is result_dir o0 –Torxed Mar 28 '14 at 12:12 As mentioned, this is not a programming problem, this is a tool/server issue and can be solved by following these instructions: askubuntu.com/questions/342552/… or asking the question on ServerFault. –Torxed Mar 28 '14 at 12:15 Another error within start application –Olga Saveleva Mar 28 '14 at 14:16 Another error? what error?... –Torxed Mar 28 '14 at 14:22 "Unable to connect to host. PMLets start by saying this i have a pc with a Host OS of Ubuntu 12.04. I've installed VMware Workstation on it, and i put windows 7 as a virtual machine inside workstation. My question is there a way to press the power button and as it loads up ubuntu(autologon) to have Vmware workstation auto start up then auto http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22712228/how-to-run-application-on-virtual-machine-in-python-script-unknown-file-suffix start my windows 7 virtual machine to full screen.(i already have it set to when i power on the windows 7 VM that it full screens.) Thanks in advance. :) CheesemillJune 1st, 2012, 03:26 PMYou can use the vmrun command to power on a VM, just add this to https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1993009.html your startup applications so that it runs when you log on. I don't have VMware Workstation on the machine I'm on at the moment but man vmrun should give you the correct syntax to start your VM. ldewittleedyJune 1st, 2012, 08:01 PMAlright im somewhat understanding the syntex of the command, im putting this into "startup programs" /usr/bin/vmrun /home/Administrator/vmware/""windows 7 x64"" and isnt working right. i tryed it in terminal also tells me "error: cannot open VM:/home/Administrator/vmware/windows 7 x64, unknown file suffix" ldewittleedyJune 1st, 2012, 08:36 PMfigured it out: /usr/bin/vmrun start /home/administrator/vmware/"Windows 7 x64"/Windows7x64.vmx CheesemillJune 1st, 2012, 08:38 PMYou need to call the full path to the .vmx file, for example: vmrun start /home/administrator/vmware/Windows7/Windows7.vmxEdit - You beat me to it :) ldewittleedyJune 1st, 2012, 08:52 PM:D thanks for the help Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.2 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
