You should select the upper node to ungroup the eye geometry, r_eye node in your case. I opened it in Maya, and now I want to render it and make a movie. The thing is, I can't change the colour, material, transparency or anything else to any object without it automatically applying to all the other objects too. How do I change the properties of ONE object without affecting the others? Also, when I imported an obj file, everything I imported in one go shows up in Maya as one object and you can't ungroup it due to 'leaf-level transform' error. If I export it from Rhino as IGES, then objects become outlines only, no objects. How do I import it into Maya so that each separate piece is separate for example, a door is a door, separate to a window? Update: I'd like some more detail please. Where is 'mesh' and where and how do I delete history, in Rhino or in Maya? Follow 1 answer 1 Report Abuse Are you sure that you want to delete this answer? Yes No Sorry, something has gone wrong. Trending Now Answers Best Answer: It's a single combined mesh when imported as obj. Use Mesh>Seperate to split them up. And be sure to delete history.
