SERVER 2005 up vote -3 down vote favorite I am getting error when I try to get result of my stored procedure. which take two value from the c# desktop applications. I write this procedure for getting today date result -- Add the parameters for the stored procedure here @StartDate datetime, @LastDate datetime AS BEGIN -- SET NOCOUNT ON added to prevent extra result sets from -- error converting data type nvarchar to numeric. in sql server 2012 interfering with SELECT statements. The main problem here is an abuse of a string data type as a data store instead of using the proper field type to start with. The problem is that SQL expects dates in yyyy-MM-dd format, and the non-English characters confuse it.
