even ordered a new dimm. Installed that but 49.4c02 service error hp 4250 no networking came up. I reinstalled the old firmware 49.4c02 error dimm. Did a cold reset as well. Any idea why this error message is popping 49.4c02 error hp 4015 up? Respond to this 0 Well it is a firmware issue which you know. Usually people have been finding this with certain files, mainlly

PDF's but also some other software. People go further into detail saying its due to certain fonts, who knows for sure becuase there hasn't been a solution posted and the error keeps coming back. The main thing is to isolate your problem by looking at the file its trying 49.4c02 service error hp 4700 to print. You dont really say this but is this machine always given you the message or just when you plug it into the network. You really need to go into the print que and delete all jobs to make sure the offending job isn't still there resurfacing cuasing the issue. If it is a certain file most people have found that printing on a older model like the 4000 series has sovlved the issue. Obviously HP is still working on this but hasn't found a sure fix yet since they keep saying update the firmware but it doesnt fix the issue. by nivek on Feb 23, 2009 at 11:35am Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP LaserJet 4350TN Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc. current firmware i am running is version 3.014.1 Respond to this 0 Had this problem with a 5500 color HP LJ printer. It is a communication error. Tried powering down for 10 minutes and then http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/60860 up. Error came back. Turned off printer and took out the jet direct card and turned on the printer while holding the green check button to attempt a cold reset. Started fine. No errors. This led me to believe that the 615 jet direct card was flaky. But I wanted to make sure it wasn't the formatter board so I turned the printer off and placed the jet direct card http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/24096 to another port on the formatter. Same error occurs. Change the jet direct card and I was able to to print the config page with no errors with the new jet direct card.If you have a 615 jet direct card, replace it with a 620. 615s are the worst cards ever!!! But since this is only happening to you on a couple of word docs, please update your printer and jetdirect card firmwares. If it still gives you that error, please change your printer driver. IF you still encounter the problem, time to change the jet direct card. If that doesn't fix the problem, change your formatter along with any memories with the formatter.Goodluck!-Carmelo by unknown on Mar 28, 2007 at 1:02pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Where is the jet direct card located - Anonymous 0 Most of the time a 49 error is being caused by the job. I found this to happen a lot if they are printing jobs from the internet. On some rare occasions I have seen the jet direct cause this. by wpc on Mar 28, 2007 at 1:53pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 The 615Ns have a bad reputation. If you have a bad JetDirect 615N you shoul
