not know what to do. Can someone help? Thanks so much! Respond to this 0 Julie: You can check the Error Codes off the fixyourownprinter.com Home page, at http://fixyourownprinter.com/hpcodes.html . Just to let you know: On 57.03 error hp 9050 the 4V, a #57 Service Error stands for a MAIN MOTOR FAILURE. About the only thing 52.0 printer error cycle power to continue hp 5100 you can try is is to switch the printer off and then back on, to try and clear the error code. If the error 57.07 error hp 9050 continues, then its usually either a bad or failing Main Motor, or the DC Controller Assembly. It could also be a cabling problem between the Main Motor and the DC Controller PCA Assembly...On some Laserjet Printers, an actual #57.1 41.03.00 general misprint error error code can also be an incompatible memory card in the front/top slot, or an incompatible memory card in the rear/bottom slot. Slot#1 on your 4V is for the STANDARD MEMORY and slot #2 is for the OPTIONAL MAXIMUM MEMORY. If you have memory in slot #2, it would be worth turning the printer off, removing that memory and then turning the printer back-on. If your printer goes ready, without that error code coming back, then its possible that the

Optional Memory, may be bad or incorrect or simply failed. Especially if you have recently had memory replaced or installed. The holder assembly for the the SIMMS [Memory] SLOTS, is in the back of the printer, up towards the top, slightly to the right of the top center area. Those memory slots are behind the Parallel Cable Interface Connector Assembly, that unscrews and pulls out...Good Luck! Hmm, don't want to sound condescending, but are you sure it's a 4V? Switch the printer OFF and then back ON. If the error continues: 1. Check cabling between Main Motor and DC Controller PCA. 2. Replace the Main Motor. 3. Replace the DC Controller. And if you want a printer manual plz. send me an email and i shall try to send an attachment. Replacing the corresponding fan usually cures these errors; fans are a common failure part on this model. http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/18857 Potentially a failing DC controller could also cause a fake fan error, but that is not common.
