java.lang.exception no such metric Oracle Tips by Burleson Consulting Problem: I have setup a 10g database and everything seems to be working fine except in Enterprise Manager, I get "Error java.lang.Exception: No such metric". There is no other indication as to what the metric is. I have also found that the database does not autostart although all the Oracle services are set to automatic. Answer: From: "Error java.lang.Exception: No such metric". http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.js...ssageID=1131271 At least one variant of this error problem can be solved by: 1. unlocking the DBSNMP account (if locked) 2. restarting the dbconsole app . . . The resolution for this java.lang.exception no such metric problem can be found on OEM Grid Control 10.2.0.1: After completing, select the database from the Databases Tab, select the "Monitoring Configuration" button from the Related Links. Then, in this page, fill in the correct password for DBSNMP (the Monitor User Name). After the test connection is successful, submit the update. Burleson is the American Team Note: This Oracle documentation was created as a support and Oracle training reference for use by our DBA performance tuning consulting professionals.
