Symptoms were... Sloooowwww printing, it would take ages for even a simple page with text to print, forget error undefined offending command eexec graphics. If you did print graphics it would often just spit out an error message something like "ERROR NAME; range check COMMAND; image OPERAND STACK;". The page would print above the top of the sheet and the only way of changing it was to scale the page and move the top margin down. We were using the BRN-3 recommended drivers but after reading elsewhere these don't seem to be compatible so changed over to the CUPS drivers now everything works as they are supposed to. There is no need to remove the old drivers, that just causes issues. Simply go to Synaptic, search for 'brother' and then go through each description by clicking on the title until you find your machine, apply the new programme the go to your printer properties and change the driver, you might have to search a bit but it will be your driver name with CUPS after it, select it complete the wizard and your set. I have tested printing on two printers. The first one did absolutely nothing, the second one (BROTHER-MFC-8890DW) printed the error undefined offending following page: ERROR NAME; typecheck COMMAND; image OPERAND STACK; Here are the PDF's in question: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9fGr6w-dfLWZTZvaW5CZW13V0E&usp=sharing I have used libre office to test the second printer with a standard text page, PDF containing just text and a PDF containing text and images, and all printed without problems. Does anybody know of what could cause this? php printing fpdf share|improve this question asked Apr 9 '14 at 10:19 Max Mumford 4801620 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted Probably the error is not due to the type of PDF that generates FPDF, but may be outdated drivers Printer (or the type of images contained in the PDF) Most printing problems can be resolved by obtaining and installing the most recent print driver available for your particular make and model printer. Most printer manufacturers provide free printer driver updates from their web sites. What kind of images are present in the PDF?
