Error Fix May 27th, 2008 Alex Posted in Uncategorized | Comments Off on PDFCreator Virtual Printer nostringval Error Fix Sometimes, when you print to PDF using PDFCreator, you can get the following error on the last page of your PDF output: "ERROR: undefined […] OFFENDING COMMAND:_ […] STACK: [….]" You can fix this problem following these instructions: First, you must Rollback to PDFCreator 0.9.3 (unless a newer version then 0.9.5 is out). Find the PDFCreator printer in the Printer and Faxes control panel. Right-click on it and select Properties: Select the Advanced tab: and select Print directly to the printer (this prevents spooling the PDF output to the disk twice). Now select the Device Settings tab: and set Send CTRL-D After Each Job to No. Also change the Wait Timeout to 1 seconds: Thanks to David Taft, Brent Powers and http://www.stat.tamu.edu/~henrik/GSWriter/GSWriter.html. PS: If PDFCreator truncates, trims or cuts filenames, make sure the path is not too deep. Try copying your files to the root folder and see if it fixes the problem. Note: I re-posted this solution with different keywords because I had a hard time finding it because it was specific to GhostScript/Redmon. I managed to resolve the issue by selecting print as image, though you may try the other options in http://alexpb.com/notes/articles/2008/05/27/pdfcreator-virtual-printer-nostringval-error-fix/ that menu as well. They might give a better result. Share this:EmailPrintFacebookTwitterGoogleLike this:Like Loading... Many of these can be filled in in Acrobat Reader and printed, but not saved and re-edited. Therefore, we have some software called PDFill that enables us to save changes to a PDF error undefined form, print, re-edit, etc. However, some forms involve numerous calculations (which when edited in Acrobat Reader - are calculated automatically). Does anyone know of any PDF Form filling software that will enable calculations to be done automatically? (even if I have to set up the formulas myself!) I need to avoid Acrobat Writer at all costs! Please Help! Thanks in advance, Debbie I have attached an example. And with the specific requirement of performing calculations, I don't think you'll have much success finding shareware or other cheaper software. The up-front costs for the software might sound steep, but what is it costing in labor to have everyone performing these calculations by hand? There is a cost in losing productivity and a savings in improving efficiency. reading PDF info: ZLib decompression error Wie kann ich dieses Problem beheben/umgehen? Hallo!
