Guest Posts: n/a Show Printable Version Email this Page http://www.realgeek.com/forums/error-23012-woes-427818.html Post Comment So here's an interesting situation... Got a new hosting service and set up http://www.textndata.com/forums/connection-failure-error-23012-a-559036.html my POP accounts. I configured my Entourage v.X with all the right settings -- the same ones that work with Mail and Outlook Express on the PC -- and can't check the POP account for incoming mail from within Entourage. Every time I try, I get a failure-to-connect message with an error -23012. I've already plunged into express error the MS KB and recognize that the error suggests a problem in communication between my client and the mail server, and that the error in question usually appears to Outlook or Outlook Express users when the POP server doesn't respond properly to the query (specifically, to the password/authentication). If that were simply the case, then the exact same settings in two other mail programs should generate a similar response. However, in my case express error 23012 they do not. I used the exact same settings in Apple's Mail program and OE on my WinXP machine and they both send/receive just fine. Of course, Entourage is my main client. What can I check out in Entourage that would explain this? My host has no idea, because anything that stymies one program should effect them all. Any advice? Thanks in advance... I can get all my emails thru a webmail account no problem. All of a sudden last week, I cannot recieve any emails. I can send though. The Microsoft network guy here says he hasn't made any changes on the server (find it hard to believe). The pop up window I get says "Mail could not be reeived at this time" The server account "" returned the error "The requested mailbox is not available on this server.." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password? The default account is an IMAP account, but i also have another IMAP account that I receive no problem. The settings are identical (except the email address). I've tried a couple things...trashing Entourage's prefs, checking the DAV security checkbox under advanced. NOTHING is working! Please help.
