MoskwaJuly 13, 201126 0 0 0 We’re pleased to introduce a new service pack for Microsoft Expression Web. Expression Web 4 SP2 focuses on making the editing process easier and faster. One of the nicest elements of this feature is the intelligence we’ve built into creating selectors. With jQuery, you target methods at HTML elements that are identified using CSS selectors—tags, ID’s and classes. Expression Web knows the IDs and classes that are available in your document, and will present you with the appropriate list (HTML tags, IDs, or classes), based on what you’ve started typing as a selector. In addition, Expression Web’s jQuery IntelliSense also supports IntelliSense while chaining multiple methods. In jQuery, methods can be executed one after the other within the same expression. Service Pack 2 July 8, 2011 By Patricia Geary 15 Comments Service Pack 2 for Expression Web 4 has been released. You can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=26699. Expression Web 4 SP2 applies significant fixes and http://www.expression-web-tips.com/expression-web-4-service-pack-2/ improvements to publishing, SuperPreview, file management, extensibility, and other areas of the programs. The EW4 is the free upgrade version provided for owners of EW3. Both products were downloaded online. Help, please? Rich Reply Patricia Geary says: July 9, 2011 at 7:07 am The only workaround I have found for this is to download the trial, start the installation process so the files are unpacked to a temporary location, then point the service pack to that location. Once the SP is installed, cancel the installation of the Expression Web Trial. Yes, it is a pain BUT it was the only way it would work for me.
