Problems Installing Flash Player On Windows 7
AM Hi folks. Yes, I have seen the other posts. I can't get it installed. I have a version but installing flash player 8 not the latest. Sorry I don't know the version I have installed, but it would be about 7 or 8. I've read other people's posts who have had their problem/s resolved. Alas they don't help https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1064294 me. Originally I didn't know I had to exit FF, so I tried again. Downloaded the program, exited FF, and ran it. When I run the .exe file I get this: Initialisation encountered errors. Failed to initialise. And that's that. File gone, and it doesn't install. Anyone? I hope I am not making a fool of myself, but there again, it may be of benefit if I am for https://support.mozilla.org/questions/910681 the sake/help of others. Hi folks. Chosen solution I think you should try to uninstall the existing Flash player, clear it's registry entries and then try to install the new one. In addition to the Adobe forums, posting in a Windows forum could be helpful regarding the registry entries. SimonLDN Level 1 (0 points) Q: Abobe Flash Player 11 - General Installation Error I understand that Apple have released Adobe https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4788632?tstart=0 Flash Player updates available for OS X on February 7, 2013. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5655) which means that any Flash content in Safari will not work without installing the latest version of Flash Player 11.5.502.149. However this will not install on Lion 10.7.5 without the General Installation Error message coming up, any ideas? Have completely uninstall Flash Player and restarted both computers and nothing. Have repaired Disk Permissions, and still nothing. Connected the computer straight to the ethernet and not wireless internet, but again nothing. This is getting pass the point of simply frustrating. Please I would appreciate if you can provide any other solutions. First, if you have a browser other than Safari, (e.g., Firefox) try using that instead, and getting the Flash installer from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. Second, in System Preferences, there's a Flash Player preference under "Other." Click on the Advanced tab and then "Check Now" in the Updates section. If you're not up to date, you should be offered the opportunity to install the update. But be aware that that update plugs some major security holes and everyone else wants the update too.
