error" message when trying to install Adobe Flash Player 3 replies 6 have this problem 1047 views Last reply by MikeJB 3 months ago MikeJB Posted 7/13/16, 3:54 AM Running Firefox on Windows 10 on my laptop (I upgraded from WIndows 8.1 a month or two ago), the Flash Player plugin hasn't been working and said it was out of date and that the latest version should be installed. When I try to install it I get a message Adobe Flash Player Application initialization error. On advice I tried uninstalling the previous version and deleting the downloaded exe file before trying again, but I still get the same error message. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and have tried rebooting my laptop between various stages (as suggested in a reply to a similar post), but whatever I try, I still get the same error message.
