still getting a lot of traffic recently, especially from search engines. It is a SIX YEAR OLD BLOG ENTRY! The Flash Player has been updated quite a bit since then and is currently (August 2009) at release http://corfield.org/entry/flash_player_7_available 10. Here's what Adobe said in a comment here in October 2008 - PLEASE READ IT! It's surprising to me that this ancient post still gets hits... Now that Flash Player 10 is coming out I think https://www.allbusiness.com/quickbooks-error-1603-installing-older-versions-of-quickbooks-4554499-1.html we're probably going to move all those old FP7 technotes to archive. However, for the googled record, all old players will still be available via the archived players technote: "Archived Flash Players available for testing purposes" flash player http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14266 Regards, Bentley Wolfe Senior Support Engineer, Flash/Flash Player/Digital Editions Adobe If, like Connie below in the comments, you have old software that refuses to install when it detects the newer player, that is a bug is your old software since Flash Player 10 will happily play all of the content that was written for Flash Player 7. In fact, Flash Player 10 will play content written for any previous version of the player adobe flash player dating back many, many years. If software - or a website - is refusing to work with a newer player then the software (or website) is at fault: it is incorrectly checking compatibility. Every where I go it only gives me the option to download Flash Player 9, which does not allow me to install my QuickBooks 2005. I need Flash Player 7 to install QuickBooks 2005. How can I get Flash Player 7?Thank you,Connie Hancock 2 Sean Corfield // Jul 26, 2007 at 5:51 PM @Connie, Flash Player 7 was released four years ago! The current release is Flash Player 9 and it is completely compatible. If QuickBooks 2005 won't install with a newer Flash Player, the problem is with QuickBooks. It should be happy with Flash Player 7, 8 or 9. 3 Steven // Jul 30, 2007 at 12:32 PM I need to download flash player 7... Can you help me?? 4 Sean Corfield // Jul 30, 2007 at 2:28 PM @Steven, see my comments in this thread. If you have software that does not work with Flash Player 9, complain to

These are the few people that do not need built in services from QuickBooks, such as merchant services or payroll…in addition, Intuit doesn’t support older versions of QuickBooks – they “sunset” the older versions…you can read more about it on their website on the “QuickBooks Service Discontinuation Plan.” Anyway, back to the error… This support as well as many errors are on the QuickBooks support page…you can find this one at: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/dosearch.aspx?kbID=1003984 Title: Error 1603: Cannot install Flash Player 7 KB ID#: 1003984 What is happening: The following error occurs when installing QuickBooks: “Cannot install ‘Flash Player 7’ from ‘[CD Drive Letter]:\ThirdParty\Flash7\install_flash_player_7.msi’.
