Re: Adobe Flash Player Upgrade required message on Facebook jl2034 Feb 23, 2012 2:21 AM (in response to pwillener) I think I have the similar problem. Just like Bras said: "When I click on it, It says I already have the upgraded version." I can watch youtube videos but can't listen to or watch anything on myspace. And also if I used Facebook I bet I would have the same problem... "Please upgrade Flash"I have:Fedora 16 x64 with XfceFirefox version: 10.0Flash version: 11,1,102,62By the way I found a workaround. It's called Google Chrome. Personally I don't like Google Chrome, so I'm still dealing with this. Maybe because I don't like to have two installed browsers but mostly because it seems such a stupid issue - It wants to upgrade but it's already upgraded...strange Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 4. I am on a fresh firefox-trunk install on Ubuntu 14.04 and no flash plugin installed. cpeterso commented May 12, 2015 If you don't have Adobe's Flash plugin installed, then websites won't detect that Shumway is installed (because Shumway does not yet appear in the navigator.plugins array). Once Shumway bug 867626 (" Expose Shumway in navigator.plugins") is fixed, websites will detect Shumway as a Flash-compatible player and you won't need the Flash plugin to be installed for websites to load Shumway.
