Adobe Flash Player Problems With Firefox
have had two years to fix this problem and all your suggested solutions do not work. I cannot see any alternative but to go back to Internet Explorer. It is so frustrating when I am checking my emails and click on a link to get the same message over and over again. Why is it that this problem only happens with Firefox? It does not happen with Internet Explorer and it does not happen with Google Chrome. Otherwise Mozilla Firefox is great. Chosen solution This from Halofromsue copied here: Okay like I said in my last post, Yesterday I disabled Shockwave in Plugins. However, as you all know, you need shockwave and flash for most things....so I went back and set it to say "ASK TO ACTIVATE" so when a web page loads and needs it, it will ask me and then I'll either say "yes" or "no" and that seems to be working. So far, after three hours it hasn't crashed and shockwave/flash all work fine when it needs it. From me: It works! If Firefox shows you a "Warning: Unresponsive plugin" prompt, it means that a plugin, like Flash, is taking longer than expected to do what you requested. This article covers some solutions and workarounds. Table of Contents1 What action should I take?2 Prevent plugins from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-plugin hanging3 Disable this warning What action should I take? If you get this warning once, you can try to click Continue to give the plugin more time to complete your request. This may not always be successful. If you get this warning a second time you should probably click Stop plugin to make the plugin stop immediately (crash). Prevent plugins from hanging Here's what to try if you get this warning often: Update your plugins. To check if any of your installed plugins are out of date, visit Mozilla's Plugin Check & Updates page. Pause plugins (Flash videos, games, music, etc.) running in other tabs or close those tabs. For more about Flash, see Playing Flash videos makes Firefox hang. Note: If you see this warning only on a certain website, your Internet security software may be blocking the content. View the log files for your Internet security software or contact the software provider, to see if content from the website is being blocked. Disable this warning If you don't want to be warned when a plugin hangs, you can disable this warning by checking the "Don't ask me again" checkbox. When you do that, Firefox will allow the plugin to hang for up to 45 seconds before it
up hating the application. Flask provides a really simple way to give feedback http://flask.pocoo.org/docs/latest/patterns/flashing/ to a user with the flashing system. The flashing system https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8aG6e_hfQU basically makes it possible to record a message at the end of a request and access it next request and only next request. This is usually combined with a layout template that does this. Simple Flashing¶ So here is a flash player full example: from flask import Flask, flash, redirect, render_template, \ request, url_for app = Flask(__name__) app.secret_key = 'some_secret' @app.route('/') def index(): return render_template('index.html') @app.route('/login', methods=['GET', 'POST']) def login(): error = None if request.method == 'POST': if request.form['username'] != 'admin' or \ request.form['password'] != 'secret': error = 'Invalid credentials' else: adobe flash player flash('You were successfully logged in') return redirect(url_for('index')) return render_template('login.html', error=error) And here is the layout.html template which does the magic:
- {% for message in messages %}
- {{ message }} {% endfor %} {% endif %} {% endwith %} {% block body %}{% endblock %} Here is the index.html template which inherits from layout.html: {% extends "layout.html" %} {% block body %}
Overview
Do you want to log in? {% endblock %} And here is the login.html template which also inherits from layout.html: {% extends "layout.html" %} {% block body %}
Login
{% if error %}Error: {{ error }} {% endif %}
