Mike W NI Product Owner Messages: 60 Hey all, I have a PC running on windows XP and im getting an error that prompts me to install macromedia (adobe) flash, but the thing is, i already have it installed! I have uninstalled it and installed it twice already, but still no luck. Can activex interfere with it? All i know is i can not get into https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/service-center-error-please-install-macromedia-flash.61081/ the NI service center due to "not having flash installed". Any help would be awesome! Thanks! Mike W, Feb 2, 2008 #1 ew Moderator Moderator Messages: 21,645 You've probably got another app that's holding on to an older version of Flash (other Adobe apps are notorious for doing that)... There's an entry for Adobe Flash Player ActiveX in add/remove programs. Have you tried uninstalling that? ew ew, Feb 2, 2008 #2 Mike W NI Product Owner Messages: 60 I have tried deleting that too, and reinstalling it. No luck at all =( I need to use the service center to activate my product, because as of now im still using the trial. Mike W, Feb 2, 2008 #3 samplaire NI Product Owner Messages: 40 Try to install the newwst version of Shockwave player (also adobe, free). It helped in my case but I'm on a Mac. I had to install the newest versions of both flash & shockwave player. Tell us, please, if it helped. samplaire, Feb 2, 2008 #4 MartinHines Forum Member Messages: 1,345 Even though I have Flash installed, when the Service Center can't find Flash, I always say "install". I have always had success when I let Service Center install Flash (I assume it "knows" where it installed it, which may not be the same location as a normal install).
