There are various work arounds for the “Error Installing quickbooks online Flash 7” which include several variations. I last went to the Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and removed the Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin. (Not to worry. The next time you go to YouTube, you will be prompted to install Flash and you get the current version.) With no Flash Player installed, I used the usual install (Insert the disk and press the Install button.) After I installed QB 2005 but before I ran it, I went to YouTube and installed Flash. Then I rebooted the computer. QB 2005 worked for me. I found another user that used the following work around: “My solution to get around this install problem is to first, make sure you have a current version of flash installed on the computer. Next, run the msi package located on the QuickBooks 2005 CDROM at: D:\QBooks\QuickBooks.msi Instead of the default: D:\setup.exe “ I generally use Windows Explorer to find programs in various locations on the disk. I found another user who determined that his problem related to the QuickBooks in “…the qbupdate.exe file in the "program files\common files\..." I had uninstalled all of the versions of QuickBooks 2000 to 2009 on a HP XP laptop. After using the Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs, I noted that the Program files>Intuit>QuickBooks 2001 etc files still existed and had a lots of files. I deleted these files. As well, I went to Program files>Common files>Intuit>QuickBooks>Qbupdate folder and delete it. I may have deleted the entire QuickBooks folder. Removal of the program files and the Common files allowed me to reinstall QuickBooks 2005 and QuickBooks 2009. Typically, I install the QuickBooks programs for the various years in sequence (though not necessarily all of the years on a particular computer). jimdaugherty View Public Profile Find all posts by jimdaugherty Bookmarks Digg del.icio.us StumbleUpon Google Tags flash 7, qb 2005 install « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Display Modes Linear Mode Switch to Hybrid Mode Switch to Threaded Mode Rate This Thread You have already rated this thread Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts BB code is
