Started by deoxys987 , Jan 04 2013 04:44 AM fsx error 1722 install Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next Please log in to reply 27 replies to this topic #1 deoxys987 deoxys987 Member Members 16 posts Posted 04 January 2013 - 04:44 AM I just got a Samsung laptop today, and tried to install FSX with Windows 8 X64 and my addons, but when I try to install FSX at the very end of the install it says "Error 1722" and I tried the "Fix" with the command prompt and that didn't work either. I have also experienced errors 1603 and 1605. but Error 1722 prevents FSX from being installed. can anybody help me? my PC can run FSX no problem, and I don't see why its having these idiotic issues. my pc can run FSX with no problem, but the install wont finish. ive tried two different copies of FSX, Deluxe and regular, both have shown the error 1722. My system specs are: Intel i7-3630QM @ 3.4GHz, ATI Radeon HD 7730m 2GB graphics, 6GB DDR3 ram @1600MHz and 500GB HDD. can someone please help?? Error 1722 says "There is a problem with this windows installer package, a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected, contact your support

This requires you to go into desktop mode on your Windows 8 system.You don't mention what type of "Recovery
