The services for "server" and "workstation" apparently chosen to change from started automatically https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23960975/Windows-Server-2003-R2-recieving-Generic-host-process-for-Win32-services-encountered-a-problem-and-needs-to-close.html to manual start in which we now have to manually change this every time we reboot. This also seems to be affecting users drive mappings as these services are being turned off on their own. There seems to be no connection between the users computers that are being affected by this problem (users are using XP Pro). I have attached the error log txt that was generated by the crash if that is of any help. The files were taken from our Windows Server 2003 R2. Any help or direction to resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated. The worm was gimme.a and caused all of the problems previously mentioned.
