This discussion is locked Rob de Jonge Level 3 (515 points) Mac OS X Q: Home Sharing could not be activated (error 5506) I've created a fresh new Apple ID. When I go into iTunes and using home sharing could not be activated because an error occurred (-3150) this Apple ID try to create a home share, iTunes returns the following error ... "Home home sharing error 5507 Sharing could not be activated because an error occurred (5506)."Using my original Apple ID, I *am* able to create a home share so I itunes error 5507 don't think it is anything about the account, network, iTunes install, etc. Any thoughts? However, when I tried to turn home sharing not working on Home Sharing I got the following error message: "Home Sharing could not be activated because an error occurred (5506). I then tried to "authorize my computer" and signed the agreement and authorized the use of my PayPal account. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3113685?start=0 I was taken to the iTunes store but I did not buy anything. I then tried to turn on the Home Sharing but got the same error message (5506). I then tried to authorize the computer again, but got the following error message: "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes store." I seem to be caught in a loop.
