All was working and I connect 3 PC's , but now I get an "error: 500 - Internal Server error" , whenI runhttp://connect. I had installed a version of Quickbooks Server on the SBS server, after I connected the first 3 pc's, but have sinced uninstalled it suspecting it may have been the problem, I have rebooted but no difference. I have run the "fix my network" and it openned another port, but thisstill has not fixed the problem. Anyone have any idea's. See if any are not started. Right click on the stopped one, choose advanced settings. Make sure that dot net is version 2, and that "enable 32 bit applications" is false if not, change to V2 and false Start the App Pool. Document any changes you make, incase you need to switch it back. Let me know if one is stopped, if you are unsure, and I will compare it to a working server. He was unable to gain access to his computer due to an RDP error. Summed up, it said he couldn't connect either because he was using an unauthorized account for the gateway or he was using a netBIOS name instead of a FQDN. I received the same error when trying to access any of the PCs on our network. Both of http 500 our accounts are authorized and we did not change anything about RDP connected. So I went into the server and did a BPA scan. WSUS was returning a number of results. We run WSUS on another server, not the WSE2012R2 server, so I removed this role. (I know this is probably not the best move in hind-sight.) I then ran the repair process http 500 internal on Anywhere Access via the WSE dashboard (which I should have just done first) and it returned an expected error about my router possibly not being compatible with the server and being behind two routers. I then tried to access the website again via the external address from my cell phone network. It returned a 500 internal server error and not much more information. I then tried form the intranet, same thing. I then tried the local host on the server itself and got the following detailed error: Even though I am getting this error, I can still VPN and use the gateway to RDP without the remote web access webpage. However, this is not ideal for my end users, and just doesn't sit well in general. This obviously has to be fixed. I believe I did something to the .config files when I removed the unused WSUS role. Is there a way to fix this? EDIT: I had an old copy of my web.config. I switched it out and rebooted. Same results. Edited Oct 29, 2015 at 5:25 UTC Reply Subscribe View Best Answer RELATED TOPICS:
